The next Outloud Open Mike at The Beebe Estate in Melrose goes down this Wednesday, May 28th
and features 5 of the writers published in Scriptor Press Sampler 15

Local poet, writer, performer and artist Raymond Soulard, Jr. established Scriptor Press — an annual compendium of creative works from his independent literary publication, Scriptor Press New England { ) way, way back in 1995 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Scriptor Press New England is currently published in Melrose and this month, Scriptor writers Raymond Soulard, Jr., Ric Amante, Melissa Wattenberg, Tom Sheehan and Joe Coleman share their visions of life, love, nature, and meaning through their shaping of the written and spoken word. You’ll also be able to pick up their work in the printed Scriptor Samplers distributed at this month’s Outloud and other similar live events { in keeping with the philosophy that art belongs to everyone! }

Sign up for the open mike starts up at 7:15 pm and performances starts at 7:30 p.m. Each open mike participant gets 10 minutes to sing, play, read and generally ‘do their thang’. Outloud’s creative atmosphere always promotes a receptive, warm and respectful vibe for the evening.

Outloud meets the fourth Wednesday of each month except for August, November and December. We meet at The Beebe Estate’s art exhibit space at 235 West Foster in Melrose { }. Free parking is available on the grounds right outside of The Beebe.

Although there is no cover to get in, we graciously accept donations to help support local charities and help cover our operating expenses.

We also have some tweets from time to time up @outloudopenmike, so check us out there, too, aight? ;]

Hope to see you this Wednesday, May 28th!
