This month’s Outloud Open Mike Coffeehouse for poetry, prose, and music — features musicians Steve and Carol Gyurina, an accomplished duo rendering their original folk and acoustic music. Their offerings — poignant, rousing, and musically nuanced —have delighted audiences at Outloud and numerous other selected venues. Both Steve and Carol are also active members of the Polymnia Choral Society. And they also recently lent their voices to a moving choral presentation of Whitbourn’s and Challenger’s Annelies, in The Life and Times of Anne Frank.

Open Mike sign up starts at 7:15 pm — performances and readings run from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Each performer is allotted 10 minutes. Outloud’s creative and nurturing atmosphere is always receptive, warm and respectful.

There is no cover; donations are accepted for costs ( including refreshments ) and local charity.

Outloud meets the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Beebe Estate’s art exhibit space, 235 West Foster, Melrose ( Go to beebeestate.org for more about The Beebe Estate ). Parking available on grounds, behind the Estate; entrance is at the back of the building.
